Our trained Gundogs are not only vital to our working lives but are also part of our family.

You will never get the best from a dog if it is unhappy and as these pictures captured on a recent wintery days pheasant shooting in the Peak District, by the amazingly talented Caro from Workingline Images, these dogs are living their best life, doing what they were bred to do.

Gundogs are not only used to find and flush gamebirds out of cover, but also gather up any shot birds, which are carefully retrieved to their owner, who then dispatches any injured birds if necessary, before transferring them to a game trailer, before eventually being sorted and either processed for feed by the shooting estates or distributed to a game dealer or directly to restaurant’s before entering into the food chain.

Game meat is a great alternative to more regular meals, especially at this festive time when they are in season.
